Floral Customer Service Associate

Job status:  Part-time
Hours:  25-28 hours per week

Strange’s has a position opening for a part time floral customer service associate at the Broad St location. The Floral Customer Service Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards and receiving/processing sales efficiently through POS systems. The essential candidate has outstanding customer service skills and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling:  3 days a week (must include 1 weekend day) 8-5 PM or 9-6 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Greets and assists customers with their floral selections and shopping experience
• Assists in the preparation of sales displays
• Answers phones and completes POS transactions
• Takes customer orders both over the phone and in store
• Presents the customer with product information
• Wraps bouquets and gift baskets
• Stocks shelves and prices product
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Floral Designer

Job status:  Part-time
Hours:  25-27 hours per week
Location:  3313 Mechanicsville Turnpike

Strange’s is seeking part time Floral Designer for our Mechanicsville location.  The Floral Designer is responsible for arranging live and artificial floral arrangements for daily orders and events such as holidays, anniversaries, weddings, socials, and funerals, in a timely manner in order to meet particular order deadlines and company standards.

**Previous floral industry experience required.

Job Competencies:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Assists in processing flowers when needed
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly to meet time deadlines and quality standards
• Knowledge of flower varieties and design techniques

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders
• Ensures that the cooler is clean and filled on a regular basis
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
