Strange’s is seeking a full time Custodian for the Short Pump and Mechanicsville retail locations.

The Custodian performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly,  and safe work environment.

Scheduling: Flexible – 2 days at the Mechanicsville location and 3 days at the short pump location 8-5 PM

Essential Responsibilities:

• Cleans floors, walls, and carpets in entryways, offices, and showroom areas
• Restocks cleaning supplies as needed
• Ensures restrooms remain sanitary by responding to and cleaning up unexpected incidents
• Empties wastebaskets around the facility
• Completes other job related duties when assigned by management

Floral Team Lead

Job status:  Full-time
Hours:  40-42 hours per week
Location:  Short Pump, VA 23233

We’re looking for an energetic, personable, and goal-oriented team lead for our short pump floral team.

The primary responsibility of the floral team lead is to organize daily orders and ensure processes are on track to accomplish daily operations.

Scheduling : Full time schedule – Applicants must be able to work on Sundays

Essential Responsibilities:

• Process orders for the current and upcoming 3 days
• Ensure the sales cooler is filled with floral designs in a timely manner
• Discover and maintain a process for ensuring timely floral order fulfillment with the team
• Maintain organization of work areas
• Provide productive & instant feedback to all sales team members regarding sales performance
• Frequently meets with management and other supervisory staff to discuss team issues, training needs, and sales opportunities
• Resolves problems regarding customer orders
• Updates sales books and other sales team resources appropriately
• Opens & Closes POS Area
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Job status:  Full-time
Hours:  40 hours per week
Location:  4201 Creighton Road Richmond VA 23223

Strange’s at Creighton Road is seeking a Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of plants to multiple locations throughout Richmond using a box truck. In the off season, this team member is assisting with warehouse and greenhouse work.

Schedule: 40 hours per week   (Mon-Fri 8-5 PM)

Applicants must be able to provide a valid drivers license and have +points driving record.

No CDL required

Experience driving a box truck and standard rated forklift preferred.

• Maintains cleanliness of delivery vehicle (box truck)
• Communicates with management on the status of all deliveries
• Completes routes and deliveries promptly
• Loads and unloads delivery vehicles in a timely manner
• Keeps the work space (warehouse) clean and organized
• Checks delivery vehicle daily to ensure safe transportation
• Completes daily tasks assigned by management (i.e. pulling plants for delivery orders, etc.)
