Greenhouse Team Member

Strange’s has a position opening for a part-time Greenhouse Worker at the Mechanicsville location. This team member is responsible for assisting customers and maintaining product within the annuals & houseplants department. The essential candidate enjoys getting their hands dirty, exudes exceptional customer service and loves to learn.

**This position requires working in a greenhouse environment in hot or humid conditions for up to 8 hours at a time year round, standing for longer periods of time, as well as lifting up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis. The essential candidate has experience working with blooming annuals and houseplants.

Scheduling : Candidates must be able to work day shifts between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM 3 days a week.

Assists customers and presents them with product information
Answers phones, fills orders for greenhouse product, and occasionally operates the cash register
Creates product displays with management guidance
Monitors and maintains safety concerns in the greenhouse
Receives/processes greenhouse product and maintains correctness of product tags
Investigates and determines what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged
Waters, fertilizes, spaces, and maintains inventory of greenhouse product

The Greenhouse Team member assists the team in other areas when asked by management

Floral Customer Service Associate

Job status: Part-time
Hours: 25 hours/week
Location: 12111 W Broad St Richmond VA 23233

Strange’s has position openings for floral customer service associates at the Short Pump location. The Floral Customer Service Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards and receiving/processing sales efficiently through POS systems. The essential candidate has outstanding customer service skills and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

Scheduling: *3 days/week @ 8 hours a day

*must be available to work Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
Greets and assists customers with their floral selections and shopping experience
Assists in the preparation of sales displays
Answers phones and completes POS transactions
Takes customer orders both over the phone and in store
Presents the customer with product information
Wraps bouquets and gift baskets
Stocks shelves and prices product
Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Delivery Driver

Job status: Part-time

Strange’s has a position opening for a part time Delivery Driver at the Mechanicsville Turnpike Florist. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the prompt delivery of all assigned goods/orders while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor that supports company morale. Applicants must be able to provide a valid drivers license and have +points driving record. Experience driving a delivery van preferred.

Scheduling : *28 hours a week / 8 – 5 PM a day

*Additional hours during Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas holidays
