The Cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service while processing sales efficiently through point of sale systems.

This seasonal assignment is scheduled to end on or around January 7th.

Scheduling: Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 1 weekend day and 2 weekdays between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Issues receipts and change due to customers
• Greets and assists customers
• Stocks shelves, retrieves carts and labels products
• Maintains cleanliness of POS area
• Maintains awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Communicates customer requests to appropriate management
• Completes tasks given be senior management
• Opens and closes POS area
• Completes other tasks as assigned by management

Tree Lot Team Member

Job status:  Seasonal
Hours:  25-30 per week

Strange’s in Short Pump is looking for agile and customer-focused tree lot team members! The tree lot team member assists in loading Christmas trees onto customer vehicles and helps with every step of the tree selection process. This assignment ends December 29th.

Scheduling: 3 days a week with 1 weekend day

• Assists customers and presents them with product information regarding holiday products
• Loads Christmas trees onto customer’s vehicles (trees vary in weight from 30 – 75 pounds)
• Unloads delivery trucks as needed
• Moves containerized shrubs or plants throughout the garden center
• Assists in re-stocking trees and holiday products

Stocker

The Stocker is responsible for assisting customers and adding or restocking new products to the sales floor.

**This is a great opportunity for an applicant looking to gain entry-level work experience.

This seasonal assignment is scheduled to end on or around January 7th 

Scheduling: Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 1 weekend day and 2 weekdays between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers
• Stocks shelves, retrieves carts and labels products

• Creates sales signs
• Receives, opens, unpacks and displays sales floor merchandise
• Takes inventory of all sales floor merchandise
• Assist in customer carry out and loading

Greenhouse Team Member

Strange’s has greenhouse position openings for the 2025 holiday season!

This team member is responsible for assisting customers and maintaining annual and houseplant product. The essential candidate enjoys getting their hands dirty, exudes exceptional customer service and loves to learn.

Pay rate to be discussed during the interview process.

**This position requires working in a greenhouse environment in hot or humid conditions for up to 8 hours at a time, standing for longer periods of time, as well as lifting up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.

This seasonal assignment is scheduled to end on or around January 7th.

Scheduling : Candidates must be able to work day shifts between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM 3 days a week (1 weekend day required).

• Assists customers and presents them with product information
• Answers phones, fills orders for greenhouse product, and operates the cash register
• Creates product displays with management guidance
• Monitors and maintains safety concerns in the greenhouse
• Receives/processes greenhouse product and maintains correctness of product tags
• Investigates and determines what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged
• Waters, fertilizes, spaces, and maintains inventory of greenhouse product

The Greenhouse Team member assists the team in other areas when asked by management
