The Cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service while processing sales efficiently through point of sale systems.

This seasonal assignment is scheduled to end on or around June 10th

Scheduling: Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 1 weekend day and 2 weekdays between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Issues receipts and change due to customers
• Greets and assists customers
• Stocks shelves, retrieves carts and labels products
• Maintains cleanliness of POS area
• Maintains awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Communicates customer requests to appropriate management
• Completes tasks given be senior management
• Opens and closes POS area
• Completes other tasks as assigned by management

Nursery Team Member

Strange’s has position openings for a seasonal spring 2026 Nursery Team Members at the Short Pump Garden Center.

Nursery team member is responsible for maintaining nursery department operations, maintenance, and organization as well as completing related tasks given by management.

The essential candidate is comfortable working in an outdoor environment, has foundational knowledge on trees, shrubs, and perennials, and exhibits exceptional customer service skills.

Scheduling : Candidates must be able to work day shifts between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM 3 days a week (includes 1 weekend day consistently throughout the season).

Job Responsibilities

• Assists customers and presents them with nursery department product information
• Communicates frequently with management regarding possible nursery product issues such as disease or pest problems
• Labels and prices plant material
• Moves containerized shrubs, plants and trees using appropriate nursery equipment
• Maintains plant material and distributes product/goods
• Maintains cleanliness of nursery area and maintains grounds/landscaping
• Assists the Nursery Manager with watering, fertilizing, spacing, pruning and maintaining inventory of nursery crops

This opportunity is great for those individuals seeking experience in plant maintenance, greenhouse operations, and horticulture best practices. No prior greenhouse experience required.

Scheduling: 3-4 days a week (must include 1 weekend day) flexible shift start or end times. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK APRIL & MAY

Job Responsibilities:
