Strange’s will be closing early for the day, Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 @ 4:00pm for the visitation of family and remembrance of Craig Gouldin, Vice-President of the Floral Division, Co-Owner and Brother of Bill & Cary.
GOULDIN, Craig Evans, 64, of Manquin, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Craig was preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Gouldin. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lisa Whittaker Gouldin; mother, Nancy C. Gouldin; children, Peyton Carrie Gouldin (Derrick), Evan Mitchell Gouldin, Kelly Nicole Gouldin; twin brother, Cary T. Gouldin; brothers, William J. Gouldin Jr. (Brenda), Thomas M. Gouldin (Greg); and sister, Jane G. Watkins (Tscharner); one grandchild, Linden. Craig is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other precious family members. Craig will be missed by many friends, especially his lifelong friend, R. Craig Evans. Craig was one of three brothers who owned and operated Strange’s Florist, which was started by their father. For over 45 years, Craig took great pride in providing beautiful flowers and excellent service. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and the great staff he worked with. When Craig found time away from work, he played golf or was in his vegetable garden. He also loved to spend time with his family, fishing with his twin brother or cooking for his wife and daughter, Nicole. Craig was a special man, always looking for ways to help others. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Via Club at Pebble Creek, 6069 Green Haven Dr., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Interment is private. Contributions can be made in memory of Craig to the King William Regional Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 215, King William, Va. 23086.
