Curbside and Retail Store updates:

Strange’s Retail Facilities will be open to customers on a limited basis.  Each location has a distinct capacity:

Strange’s @ Mechanicsville Turnpike will have no more than 10 customers in the store at a time.

Summer 2020 In Store Hours:  Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm Sunday: Closed

Strange’s @ West Broad St.  will have a variable amount of customers in the store based upon time of day and re-stocking operations.  We estimate store capacity at 150 customers.  This is subject to change.

Summer 2020 In Store Hours:  Monday – Saturday 8am – 6pm.   Sunday: 10am – 5pm

 

Curbside Pickup Updates:

Due to seasonal inventory change, the curbside pickup wish list is no longer active.  Curbside pickup requests are on a case by case basis.  Please call and a team member will assist you.

Retail Floral Delivery is still available!

Our Floral Delivery staff can deliver to residences.  Funeral Homes and Hospitals are a case by case basis.

Delivery to retirement and assisted living communities is now available.  Final delivery to your loved ones will be handled by the community itself or at their guidance.

Curbside Pick Up Hours:  Monday – Saturday 10am – 4pm Sunday: Closed

 

Strange’s @ West Broad St.  will have a variable amount of customers in the store based upon time of day and re-stocking operations.  We estimate store capacity at 30 customers.  This is subject to change.

We have separated the hours for pickup in order to afford adequate spacing in the parking lot for customers seeking enhanced social distancing.  We will do our best to accommodate pickups outside of these hours, but extra spacing may be limited.

In order to process wish lists currently in the queue, the wish list form is paused as of 11:00 am April 21st.

When the queue of wish lists has been cleared, we will re-open the form.

A team member will call/email you if there is a question about your wish list and/or when your items are ready for pickup.

Depending on product availability and order complexity, time between Wish List placement and fulfillment may be 2 to 4 days.

 

Retail Floral Delivery is still available!

March 21st

In order to protect our staff and visitors, Both Strange’s Retail locations will be open only for curbside pickup OR delivery of Garden Center and Floral Product.  Existing Floral orders will be unaffected.

Thank you for your patience while we learn this new process together.  We will be open for cash & carry and casual shopping as soon as possible!

Please call ahead and a team member will search our inventory, pick, pull and make ready your blooming plants, vegetables, soils or any other item from our store, for curbside delivery to your vehicle.

Delivery orders will processed as normal.

March 18th

Strange’s retail facilities are still open.  We are still delivering to recipients able to accept deliveries.

We are taking protective measures throughout our facilities including, but not limited to:

High touch surfaces are being disinfected frequently (counters, door handles, cooler doors etc)

Areas that can not be cleaned easily and efficiently are closed (in example: manual touch doors)

Team member areas have been segmented to reduce exposure risks (please use designated restrooms!)

We are practicing social distancing (please excuse team members that stand more than 2 arms lengths away from you!)

We are practicing safe touch procedures (please excuse team members with hands in pockets, this keeps us from touching things we shouldn’t!)

We are asking customers to leave containers and garden supplies home for the time being.  We will gladly repot things for you AFTER this issue has passed

Hand washing and cleanliness supplies  have been situated throughout the facilities

We are setting up and practicing our curbside pickup for Garden Center/Greenhouse product.  (please be patient as this is a new skill for us)

We are running ventilation systems where possible (please excuse the fan noise in the greenhouse)

We have postponed scheduled classes regardless of class size.

March 12th

Strange’s will be suspending delivery of floral product to Retirement & Assisted Living Communities in our service area until further notice.  Many of our Retirement & Assisted Living Community peers are screening visitors and redirecting deliveries. This is part of a wider public effort to stem the spread of COVID-19.  The Centers for Disease Control have identified these communities as high risk and halting delivery of non-essential goods is in their best interest.
