Notes for Echinacea 'Harvest Moon'

All Echinaceas love the open sunny garden, but they will also tolerate some light shade. They thrive in drier gardens than most other plants so they make a good plant for those hot and dry spots in your garden. Water them regularly to establish new plantings but once established, they can thrive on their own. The two things that will shorten the coneflower lifespan are heavy clay soils or constantly damp soils. They do not like to have their roots constantly wet. These tough beauties come in an array of colors such as white, pink, red, yellow and orange. Some have double, pom pom like, blooms and some are single blooms with an orange center. They are attractive to birds, bees and butterflies.
