

Arugula 'Astro Italian Cross'
A selection from regular arugula that has less deeply lobed leaves (more of a "strap" leaf), is a bit earlier, and has a somewhat milder taste.

Beets 'Detroit Dark Red'
Open-pollinated heirloom. Nearly uniform, smooth, globe-shaped, deep-red roots up to 3 inches across. Best performance in our area in the fall.

Broccoli 'PacMan'
Hybrid. Extra early, producing 6 to 10 inch-wide, solid, flat-topped, dark blue-green heads. Can be grown successfully in spring or fall. Good side-shoot production after harvesting main head.

Brussel Sprout 'Long Island Green'
Heirloom. 24-inch, semi-dwarf plants with closely spaced leaves. Highly regarded for taste.

Cabbage 'Chinese'
Early hybrid Chinese (or Napa) cabbage. Compact, bolt-resistant plants produce conical heads of ruffled leaves.

Cabbage 'Early Jersey'
Early-season yielder. Green, conical, 2 to 3 pound, compact, waxy-looking heads with sparse outside foliage.

Cabbage 'Flat Dutch'
Late-season, green heirloom for sauerkraut and storage. Plants produce 11-inch, flat, 6 to 10 pound heads with medium-sized core and few wrapper leaves. Heat-tolerant, maintains peak quality for a long period.

Cabbage 'Ruby Perfection'
The most popular red cabbage, heads are medium-sized, dense, uniformly round shape with good wrapper leaves. Good field holding ability. Resistant to thrips.

Cauliflower 'Candid Charm'
Snow white, 3- to 4-pound head with large curds. Make sure when head reaches full size, you are covering it with wrapper leaves to "blanch" (turns the head white). Recommended only for fall crops due to long growing season.

Collards 'Champion'
Rich, dark blue-green with large cabbage-like leaves. Plants are non-heading, productive, and light-frost tolerant. Waxy leaf surface provides natural protection from cabbage worms.

Two to three foot plants with tender, blue-green, ruffled leaves that are quite cold/frost tolerant.
